His dire form in the Premier League left Man Utd fans frustrated with the 25-year-old after the Red Devils forked out £85m ($110m) to sign him from Ajax and saw little to no return on their investment. But the Manchester outcast has now offered an explanation as to why he did not reach his best level at Old Trafford.
WHAT DID ANTONY SAY?
Speaking to Spanish TV on his exploits in Spain so far, Antony said: "The city has also played a lot, which is better [than Manchester] and good here. I am very happy here with it. And the sun here helps a lot. You’re every day at noon, awake, listening to yourself, I go to sleep smiling and that’s the most important thing for me."
