During Galatasaray's 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur, Icardi suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) tear and the Argentine is set to miss the rest of the season. On Sunday, during the Super Lig leaders' crucial 3-2 win over second-place Samsunspor, Osimhen was on target twice and celebrated his first goal by lifting Icardi's shirt into the air to show his solidarity with his team-mate.

Osimhen made the loan move from Napoli to Galatasaray in the summer after his falling out with the Serie A side. He had been starting in a two-striker system with Icardi since his move and the duo had been largely successful, scoring 16 goals between them since the Nigerian's move. However, due to Icardi's injury, Galatasaray have moved to a single-striker system which is likely to suit Osimhen even more.
WHAT NEXT FOR GALATASARAY?
With Icardi out for the rest of the season, Galatasaray will likely continue with Osimhen in a single-striker system after the international break, when they take on Bodrum on November 23.
